July 4th weekend

Hi there!
I hope your 4th of July weekend went well. We had the pleasure of seeing our friends from DFW on their way back home. 5 leaders and 13 girls on Saturday night. They had a great time at Scout camp / high adventure. We moved Gavin into our room and gave them the upstairs area. The leaders all had a bed, and the girls had floor space in the playroom. They were so tired I think they could have slept on a bed of nails with no problem! Gavin was the official welcoming committee, giving EVERYONE a hug as they came in. Even puppy behaved well and loved all the attention she was getting.
We all made it to church on time and I think the sight of us bringing 18 friends made everyone smile.
Gavin has been having some GI issues, very gassy tummy and constipated. It's difficult keeping him in the middle somewhere between constipated (Down's syndrome-pretty typical) and Crohn's disease. (can be very loose) I went back to melatonin with magnesium hoping to get him back to normal. We'll see if that works.
Whenever I'm having a rough day, I imagine how it is for our men and women in the military in places like Afghanistan. Long days, rough conditions, equipment that doesn't always work, always having to be on guard. I am so thankful for them!
Time to get some work done...
